About
Hi, I’m Martim.
I grew up amidst light and shadow, following my father across film sets. Immersed in the strange and fascinating rhythm of filmmaking, long days, distant places, and people driven by imagination and craft. I soon understood that a film set is a world apart: unpredictable, ever-changing, alive with a quiet kind of magic that reveals itself only to those who know how to listen.
As a child, I remember reading script scenes aloud with the actors, helping them prepare their lines as if I, too, was part of the unfolding story. The days stretched so long that, at times, the reality of the set would blur into my sleeping dreams, and the boundary between life and fiction dissolved into something fluid, enchanted, and inseparable.
It was there that I learned the value of presence, curiosity, and adaptability. I became a cinematographer for precisely this reason, for the passion for visual storytelling and the endless pursuit of that invisible vibration that holds each image together. In this craft, I find a rare sense of focus, involvement, and challenge, and that is why I keep returning to it, film after film.
Versatility, curiosity, and care guide my eye on every set, in every story, in every frame.
