now reimagined as an embrace for all of them.”
What an honor it was to be part of this project, which not only showcases the remarkable music and talent of Milhanas but also amplifies the poignant message it conveys.
Roubar Um Corpo is, in the words of Milhanas, "a cry for all the women who have suffered some form of violence at the hands of a man, now reimagined as an embrace for all of them. The song released on November 25th, marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

The concept for the music video, created by the director Pedro Varela, beautifully captures the metaphor behind the song’s title “Roubar Um Corpo” – “Stealing a Body” – as being caught between life and death.
Women who suffer violence are often left in dark, silent spaces, and that is precisely what this river symbolizes. Milhanas herself, in the film, exists between black and white, darkness and light. The black-and-white cinematography stems from this duality, reflecting the two sides of her identity. It also portrays that place where people are left without color, where everything fades—life loses its vibrancy and saturation, leaving only the contrast of positive and negative, black and white.

The beautiful location where we shot was a sprawling private property in Alentejo, nestled along the banks of the Alqueva reservoir.
The makeup and styling of Milhanas were strikingly unique, and so we made full use of the space during the preparation phase to highlight the process and work of both the makeup artist Edu and the stylist Vivi Engiel.
This allowed us to capture some stunning environmental portraits of Milhanas as she prepared, blending the beauty of the surroundings with the artistry of makeup and styling.
